A Gold Coast Brewhouse Built for Dining, Beer, and Social Gatherings

THE LUCKY SQUIRE is located in Broadbeach, Queensland, and operates as a two-storey bar, restaurant, and microbrewery inspired by the James Squire brewing story. The venue brings together craft beer, modern pub food, group dining, private bookings, and event functions in a high-traffic Gold Coast destination close to hotels, entertainment, convention, retail, and beach precincts.

Through detailed communication with the client, RON GROUP identified the need for a furniture package that could support multiple operating zones while keeping the venue visually cohesive. The dining room, bar counter, outdoor and semi-outdoor seating, group dining tables, and more intimate window-side areas all needed to feel connected to the same brewhouse identity.

Client Needs

  • Flexible seating for multiple venue modes:

The client needed dining chairs, tables, bar stools, counter seating, and long-table combinations that could serve restaurant dining, casual drinks, private gatherings, and larger functions without disrupting the overall design language.

  • Commercial durability with a polished hospitality feel:

As a busy bar restaurant, THE LUCKY SQUIRE required furniture that could handle daily traffic, beverage service, group meals, and event use while remaining comfortable, stable, easy to maintain, and suitable for long-term commercial operation.

  • A warm industrial atmosphere aligned with the brewhouse concept:

The furniture needed to work with timber flooring, metal bar elements, glass frontage, warm lighting, and the venue's craft beer identity, creating a relaxed but refined setting for modern pub dining.

  • Outdoor and semi-outdoor seating for social use:

The client also needed seating that could support short drinks, casual meetups, street-facing hospitality, and high-frequency use while staying visually connected with the indoor areas.

A Coordinated Furniture Solution for a Modern Bar Restaurant

RON GROUP built the solution around three priorities: consistent style, multi-zone adaptability, and commercial-grade performance. Instead of treating each area as a separate furniture order, the project was planned as a connected hospitality furniture system for dining, bar, outdoor, and event use.

How We Met the Vision

The completed furniture package supports the venue's day-to-night rhythm. Main dining areas are warm and structured, bar seating is durable and easy to use, outdoor seating supports casual social energy, and group dining layouts help the venue move between daily service and event bookings.

1. Dining Furniture That Strengthens the Warm Brewhouse Interior

Core focus: In the main dining room, RON GROUP used coordinated tables and chairs to reinforce the venue's timber tones and relaxed restaurant setting. The result is a dining environment that feels comfortable for meals, shared plates, and longer gatherings while keeping the space operationally efficient.

2. Bar and High-Seating Areas for Craft Beer Service

Core focus: Bar and counter zones were configured for casual drinks, beer tasting, and quick social stops. High seating needed to be stable, comfortable, and easy to maintain, while matching the stronger visual character of the brewhouse bar.

3. Outdoor Seating That Extends the Social Atmosphere

Core focus: The outdoor and semi-outdoor seating areas were planned for relaxed drinks, short-stay visits, and street-facing hospitality. RON GROUP balanced durability, comfort, and visual continuity so these zones could feel like a natural extension of the interior.

4. Group Dining and Function Layouts for Event Flexibility

Core focus: For group dining and function use, long-table arrangements and coordinated chair groups help the venue shift from everyday dining to pre-booked gatherings and celebrations. This gives the restaurant more flexibility without losing its consistent brand look.

5. Comfortable Zones for More Intimate Dining Moments

Core focus: The venue also includes areas where guests can enjoy a more settled dining experience. Softer seating, window-side placement, and balanced table proportions help these areas feel comfortable while still belonging to the larger bar restaurant environment.

Why Partner with RON GROUP

For a venue like THE LUCKY SQUIRE, furniture is part of both the brand experience and the operating system. RON GROUP helped translate the client's hospitality goals into a coordinated set of commercial furniture choices that support comfort, durability, visual consistency, and day-to-day usability.

  • Commercial hospitality focus: Furniture selections were matched to real restaurant, bar, and function use rather than only visual styling.

  • Multi-zone planning: Dining, bar, outdoor, private, and group areas were treated as connected parts of one customer journey.

  • Brand consistency: Timber tones, practical structures, and warm hospitality details help the venue maintain a unified brewhouse identity.

  • Long-term usability: The solution supports daily turnover, event flexibility, easy maintenance, and consistent guest comfort.

The Result

The completed project presents a full Gold Coast brewhouse environment: a warm main dining room, a craft beer-focused bar, outdoor seating connected to the street, and group dining settings ready for functions and celebrations.

  • A cohesive furniture language across dining, bar, outdoor, and private areas.

  • Seating combinations that support lunch, dinner, drinks, craft beer service, and event bookings.

  • Commercial durability that helps the venue handle high daily use in a busy Gold Coast location.

  • A guest experience that feels relaxed, comfortable, and aligned with the character of a modern Australian brewhouse.

By combining operational thinking with a consistent hospitality aesthetic, RON GROUP helped THE LUCKY SQUIRE turn its restaurant, bar, and function spaces into a practical and memorable customer environment.
