Riverside Restaurant Furniture For The Riverhouse Singapore

The Riverhouse | @mimirestaurantsg

Riverhouse is a Singapore riverside hospitality destination at Clarke Quay, with Mºmº 쵤쵱 located inside The Riverhouse as part of a multi-concept venue. This case focuses on heritage architecture, riverfront decks, woven dining chairs, terrazzo tables, and outdoor dining furniture facing the Singapore River. RON GROUP's furniture direction supports the venue through coordinated outdoor restaurant seating, flexible tables, and riverside dining pieces.

For a venue beside the river, furniture does more than fill the floor plan. It controls how guests sit near the water, how service staff move between tables, how outdoor seats hold up in humidity, and how the heritage building remains visible as part of the dining experience. Riverhouse needed a furniture approach that could respect the building, support restaurant operations, and still feel relaxed enough for riverside social dining.

Client Needs

  • Outdoor dining chairs and tables suited to a riverside deck.

  • Furniture that feels refined beside a conserved heritage building.

  • Flexible layouts for restaurant service, private events and social gatherings.

  • Durable materials that work in Singapore's humid outdoor hospitality environment.

The main challenge was balancing atmosphere with daily usability. A riverside restaurant needs furniture that looks light and inviting in photos, but it also needs commercial strength, stable table bases, practical seat dimensions and finishes that are easy to clean after repeated service.

The venue also has multiple guest rhythms. Some guests come for a relaxed meal by the river, while others use the space for private events or group gatherings. The furniture plan therefore needed compact table options, comfortable chairs, and layouts that could shift without making the terrace look temporary.

How We Meet the Vision

RON GROUP supports the project by coordinating outdoor chairs, terrazzo-style tables, high tables and deck furniture as one riverside restaurant package. The goal is to make every seating area feel connected while still allowing flexible layouts for dining and events.

The furniture selection uses woven textures, cushioned seats, compact tables and outdoor-friendly finishes to match the calm riverfront setting. These elements bring softness to the wooden deck and create a more human scale beside the white heritage facade and colorful Clarke Quay surroundings.

Instead of treating every table area the same, the furniture mix gives Riverhouse several seating modes. High tables support quicker drinks and casual gatherings. Round tables create a more intimate dining setup. Terrazzo-style tables and patterned woven chairs give the main deck a stronger design identity.

Outdoor Seating With Visual Texture

Woven chairs are well suited to riverside hospitality because they look relaxed without feeling plain. The patterned seats add visual detail, while the cushions make the outdoor area comfortable enough for longer meals and social events.

Tables Planned For Service Flow

Compact table shapes help staff move through the deck while keeping enough dining surface for shared plates, drinks and table settings. The mix of round, rectangular and high tables gives the venue more control over group size and turnover.

Materials That Fit The Setting

The furniture needed to sit comfortably between heritage architecture and modern hospitality. Wood tones, terrazzo surfaces, woven textures and neutral cushions help the restaurant feel current while keeping the atmosphere warm and approachable.

Furniture Value For A Multi-Concept Venue

Riverhouse is not a single-purpose dining room. The property brings together restaurant service, alfresco moments and event use within a heritage riverside destination. This makes furniture coordination especially important, because each zone has to support its own function without breaking the overall guest impression.

RON GROUP's value is in controlling the furniture package as a connected system. Chair height, table scale, cushion color, material finish and outdoor durability all affect how the venue operates. When these decisions are coordinated early, the restaurant can keep furniture pieces coordinated and maintain a more consistent look across different event setups.

The final furniture direction also supports photography and guest memory. Riverfront seating, patterned chairs, umbrellas, terrazzo tables and the heritage facade all appear in the same visual frame. That makes the furniture part of the brand story rather than a background detail.

Project Results

  • A riverside outdoor dining environment supported by coordinated woven chairs and terrazzo tables.

  • Furniture that respects the heritage venue while serving modern hospitality needs.

  • Flexible seating suitable for restaurant service, events and private gatherings.

  • A distinctive Singapore River dining experience supported by practical outdoor furniture.

For Riverhouse, the furniture package helps guests experience the site in layers: the river view, the preserved building, the outdoor deck, the table setting and the comfort of the seat. Each element supports the next, creating a dining environment that feels designed but still easy to use.
